Resolute Marine Energy, Inc. awarded DOE Phase I SBIR grant

The U.S. Department of Energy today announced that it has awarded Resolute Marine Energy, Inc. a Phase I SBIR grant to design and build an innovative system for optimizing the performance of large-scale arrays of wave energy converters

"This project will present us with tremendous technical challenges however, if we persevere, we'll be able to deploy wave energy converters that produce large quantities of electricity at competitive cost" said Bill Staby, RME's CEO

RME is a pioneer in the development and deployment of innovative solutions for producing power at sea. The company is initially focusing on building wave energy conversion (WEC) systems focused on specific commercial and government applications.
