November 19, 2020 - Today Resolute Marine Energy CEO Bill Staby presented at the Blue Tech Week conference which is hosted annually by San Diego-based The Maritime Alliance. This year’s conference was held virtually to attract and inform a broad audience without compromising the health and well-being of participants. The five-day event provided many organizations an opportunity to showcase their technologies and businesses in front of industry peers and other stakeholders in the Blue Economy. Key themes of this year’s event include Offshore Energy, Water/Wastewater and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). During his presentation which focused on the circular economy and remote islands, Bill described how RME’s business model seeks to address several SDGs with a particular focus on the company’s first commercial scale wave-powered desalination project in Cape Verde which is slated to commence operations in 2023.
Mr. Staby commented, “The Maritime Alliance put on an amazing conference which addressed many of the critical issues facing the global ocean economy and environment and we are grateful to have had an opportunity to participate.”
