July 14, 2017
Resolute Marine was recently awarded a $150k Phase I SBIR award by the U.S. Department of Energy for its project entitled “Wave-Powered Desalination System.” RME CEO Bill Staby commented; “we’re pleased to have won the award but it is particularly meaningful to Resolute because it is an endorsement of our strategy to focus on fresh water production as a commercially viable application for wave energy.” About Resolute Marine: Resolute Marine has developed a unique technology that harnesses ocean wave energy to produce clean fresh water for customers in off grid areas of the world. Resolute is focused on significantly improving access to water for coastal populations and industrial/agricultural operations in developing countries and small island developing states (SIDS). The company’s Wave2OTM technology is a cost effective, highly scalable solution that enables water resource managers to align water supply and demand in areas that would otherwise be overlooked. In these areas, Wave2OTM has compelling economic advantages over both large-scale, centralized desalination plants and smaller-scale diesel electric desalination systems
