RME COO, Olivier Ceberio was named “Engineer of the Year, 2012” in the “Sustainable Development” category by the weekly French business magazine, “Usine Nouvelle.” During the awards ceremony, Ceberio received his prize from Eric Molinié, deputy Director of Sustainable Development at EDF, the giant French electricity monopoly, and President of the French humanitarian relief organization SAMU Social.
The “Sustainable Development” award is attributed to an engineer or a team of engineer implementing an innovation at the service of society fulfilling three criteria: economical profitability; social stewardship and protection of the environment. “I am very honored to receive this prize”, said Ceberio, “Usine Nouvelle is one of the oldest and most respected business magazines in France and I’m hoping that the work we’re doing at RME will inspire others in France to tackle difficult engineering challenges that can have a positive societal impact.”
