April 8, 2011
Resolute Marine Energy, Inc. signed an agreement with The Newburyport CleanTech Center (NCTC), a business incubator/accelerator for the commercialization of sustainable products and services. NCTC will support RME in the development of its operational prototype for wave energy converters that will be tested in Summer 2011 at the Ohmsett facilities, NJ

“Partnering with The Newburyport CleanTech Center enables us to focus our time to perfect the development of our wave energy converters. They are providing us with the type of space needed for our Senior Engineer to produce the prototype product while saving significant commuting time,” said Bill Staby, Founder and CEO of Resolute Marine. “We looked at alternative spaces to rent, but having the level of support that the CleanTech Center offers made this an easy choice. By partnering with this incubator, we are getting a unique opportunity to see our product to fruition, from its initial stage to our eventual goal of providing wave energy converters for utility-scale generation.” “The cleantech industry is experiencing tremendous growth and offers a great opportunity for us to help Ecopreneurs with incredible innovative developments succeed at any stage in their evolution,” said Robert O’Brien, President of the Newburyport CleanTech Center. “Resolute Marine is a perfect example of this innovation and represents the next generation of alternative energy providers. We are excited to bring them on board and look forward to their unique developments as we’re confident they will have an important positive impact on the environment.”
