Today Resolute Marine Energy, Inc. CEO Bill Staby delivered a presentation entitled "Making Waves: Harnessing the Ocean's Power," to approximately 40 concerned Cape Cod residents who gathered at Cape Cod Community College to participate in CIRECs EPRI-funded project to study energy options for the Cape and Islands region. "I'm so impressed by the high level of knowledge seminar participants exhibited about wave energy" Staby said. He continued by saying "this is really grass-roots community activism at its best." "Many seminar participants were members of their local energy advisory committee and were attending because they wanted to find out how to get involved in renewable energy somehow." "The wave climate off of certain portions of the Cape coastline can make a meaningful contribution to the area's clean energy needs without all the controversy over disrupted view sheds" Staby said. The Cape Cod Times published an article that appeared on its front page on January 17th.
