Resolute Awarded a Blue-GIFT Voucher for Testing at PLOCAN

Today Resolute Marine Energy’s Irish subsidiary, Resolute Marine Limited, was recommended for a Blue-GIFT individual support voucher to test an advanced prototype of its Wave2OTMautonomous wave-powered desalination plant at the PLOCAN test site in the Canary Islands.
In his response to the announcement of the award, RME CEO Bill Staby said, “the Blue-GIFT voucher will help us move more quickly along the path to commercialization.” “We’re really looking forward to working with the team at PLOCAN and to the experience we will gain there in preparation for our first commercial project in Cape Verde.”
About BlueGift: The Blue-GIFT project, coordinated by the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC), based in Orkney, Scotland, is a €2.5M European Regional Development Fund project that aims to help Atlantic Area companies test their marine renewable energy technologies in real sea conditions to prove that power can be economically generated from the Atlantic Ocean.
