RME CEO testifies before committee of Massachusetts State Legislature

May 4, 2010
RME CEO Bill Staby today testified before the Community Development & Small Business committee of the Massachusetts State Legislature in support of a bill sponsored by Representative Linda Dorcena Forry to establish the L3C (low-profit limited liability corporation) as a legal business entity in Massachusetts. Mr. Staby said, “We think the L3C structure may help unlock billions of dollars of early-stage investment capital from foundations and other not-for-profit organizations which would make it much easier for companies like RME to bridge the “valley of death” and bring transformative technologies to market that provide triple-bottom-line (financial, social and environmental) returns to investors.” For more information about L3Cs please visit: www.americansforcommunitydevelopment.org
