Resolute Marine Launches Feasibility Studies in Cape Verde

September 12, 2017
Pursuant to a Sustainable Energy for Africa (SEFA) grant awarded to Resolute by the African Development Bank (AfDB) to cover certain pre-deployment costs associated with Resolute’s W2O Project, several requests for expressions of interest (REOI) were released today by the AfDB and are available for review using the web links provided below. The REOIs pertain to a series of feasibility studies which will take place at the proposed W20 Project deployment site in Praia Grande, Sao Vicente, Cabo Verde and for capacity building initiatives to be undertaken in partnership with the Cape Verde National Institute of Fisheries - Instituto Nacional de Desenvolvimento das Pescas (INDP)

Interested parties can access the REOIs using the following weblinks:   “We have been working in Cape Verde for many years and the recent award of a SEFA grant from the AfDB has enabled us to embark on these critical studies in partnership with INDP,” said Resolute Marine COO, Olivier Ceberio. “We’re pleased to be working with INDP and are very excited about the growth opportunities available to us in Cape Verde once we get this, our first project in Africa, up and running.”   Resolute Marine’s Cape Verde based Project Coordinator, Oscar Melicio, said, “One of the biggest benefits for Cape Verde is that this project includes personnel training and equipment purchases that will allow INDP to conduct state-of-the-art bathymetric and geotechnical studies as well as wave energy resource assessments in full compliance with international standards.”
