October 17, 2009
Today RME CEO Bill Staby delivered a presentation on marine renewable energy technologies to a group of students and faculty at the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University. Mr. Staby said, “I’m always happy to meet and talk with people who have an interest in marine renewable energy, and, judging by the questions I received after my presentation, it’s pretty clear there’s a high level of interest amongst the next generation of leaders in the field.” As one of the world’s premier schools for the study of environmental science and policy, the Nicholas School conducts research and outreach thorough its 56 core faculty members and over 50 affiliated faculty members and engages with scientists, governments, industry leaders, conservation practitioners and communities throughout the world to address critical issues like climate change, energy, water quality, ecosystem management and conservation, and human and environmental health. Through academic programs at the Ph.D., masters and undergraduate levels, Nicolas School strives to produce a new breed of environmental leaders.
