RME CEO Participates In The Sustainable Oceans Lab

August 24, 2015
RME CEO Bill Staby is an invited participant at the Sustainable Oceans Lab (SOL) which is a year-long program that brings together leaders and change agents from diverse backgrounds who are active in the management and governance of oceans

Mr. Staby commented; “As part of RME’s on-going commitment to maintaining a 360o view of the people and ecosystems our technologies may affect, we feel it is important to play an active role in the debate about how diverse stakeholders can work together to enhance the sustainable management of global marine resources.” About the Sustainable Oceans Lab: The SOL is a program jointly convened by the Global Leadership Academy (commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, BMZ) and the Blue Solutions Initiative in collaboration with Reos Partners. The Sustainable Oceans Lab started in March 2015 in Berlin, Germany and includes 30 participants from civil society, government and business who are engaged in diverse multi-stakeholder initiatives in 14 countries. The SOL is built on the idea that just as scientific and technical labs address scientific and technical challenges, social labs are needed to address socio-economic and political challenges related to marine ecosystems
