Our Affiliations

RME has built a strong network of affiliate organizations that also have an interest in building a robust global, national and regional marine renewable energy industry. Our affiliate network includes organizations devoted to technological advancement, standards development, education and training, and economic growth.

One organization stands out however. The Ocean Renewable Energy Coalition (OREC) is based in Washington, D.C. and is the industry trade association. OREC is working hard to: increase the amount and diversity of federal research & development investment; help implement a regulatory regime based on adaptive management principles; adopt market-based incentives; and, guide the marine spatial planning process now underway at the state and federal level.
