Fluid/Hydraulic Systems Engineer
Part-time/Consultant (Flexible hours/Telecommuting okay)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Your work will focus on fluid/hydraulic systems design and engineering. You will design fluid/hydraulic circuits, create schematic diagrams, generate bills of materials, conduct cost analyses and oversee the fabrication and testing of prototypes. You must be skilled at weighing trade-offs between various costs and performance specifications, have experience in specifying, installing and programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for complex electro-hydraulic control systems and be knowledgeable about related systems and equipment e.g. instrumentation, pneumatics, pumps, valves, actuators and motors. You must live in the Boston area and be available for periodic face-to-face meetings.
APPLICANTS WITH WATER TREATMENT, DESALINATION SYSTEM OR OTHER WATER-RELATED DESIGN EXPERIENCE ARE PREFERRED.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• BS Degree & 5+ years of hands-on experience with fluid/hydraulic systems design;
• Proficiency with 3D-CAD software tools e.g. SolidWorksTM, AutoCADTM, etc.
• Experience with other analytical tools pertaining to fluid mechanics e.g. CFD and FEA;
• Experience with ROSATM or other reverse osmosis system design tools;
• Experience in project management, cost analysis and reporting.
